Hi! My name is Arielle Levy and I’m from Long Island, New York. I’m a Fashion and Textiles senior at SUNY Oneonta. Currently, I am attending The Fashion Institute of Technology, completing a one year AAS degree in advertising and marketing communication.
Throughout my years at SUNY Oneonta I have taken numerous classes that have helped me development different skills in order to be successful in my fashion career. Including classes that have taught me how to better navigate through Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
My experience working retail in both stylist and sales positions have also helped me develop different skills. With the jobs I’ve held in the past I’ve learned better communication skills when dealing with customer issues as well as an insight into the different systems used throughout companies in order to complete purchases, input new shipments. I’ve also learned a lot about visual merchandising when it comes to window displays and total store layouts.
In the future I would like to become a fashion buyer or do PR work for a company. Down the line I would like to eventually open my very own boutique and use the skills I’ve learned to make it a success.
